Beta passed her round 1 heat today to progress to the quarters of the Sintra IBA Grand Slam event. She only had one wave (barrel roll to reverse) but it was enough to get her through. The conditions where building and the zone where she caught waves had many closeouts so it made it hard for her and the other competitors to find clean waves to surf. Neymara Carvalho was able to dominate the rights in the corner of the beach and Beta was stoked to pass through to the next round with Neymara one of her favorite bodyboarders! Jason Will surf tomorrow in the afternoon after 12pm in round 5. Amping to see Beat win and also alot of Bodyglove exposure at the beach with the Water Patrol sporting ECO lifevests and a bunch of BG logo tee shirts floating around.
